SPACE PLANNING (IF NEEDED)
Once the basic terms have been agreed upon, the business will be referred to a project management team to put together the best layout for the square feet of the space and to determine the tenant improvements that will be necessary prior to move-in. If the location was being leased in its existing condition, this may not be necessary. Space planning can often be at the discretion of the landlord to maintain a uniform appearance throughout the building, but a business can negotiate the right to conduct their own planning and improvements. CBRE has a project management division, for example, that can offer solutions to a business in conjunction with their lease negotiations.
