source of funds
Having the funds to invest is not sufficient to establish eligibility for either of the two programs. An investor must be able to clearly trace the source of funds and prove to the USCIS that the funds being invested have in fact been obtained from lawful sources, keeping in mind that the source of capital can come by means of gifts, inheritance, or loans. Evidence that needs to be submitted may include but is not limited to the following:
· Bank Statements
· Investment Statements
· Profits or proceeds from sale of real estate
· Profits and earnings from a business
· Profits or earnings from stock or other investments
· Documents showing ownership of real estate or business
· Loan, mortgage, promissory note, security agreement, or other evidence of borrowing
